Not if you were watching the Atlanta-Washington game.

I mentioned that one, if you were paying attention .

10.88 points? 9.67 points? What happened to good, old won-loss records? What's with these "points"?

It seems like average points per player on the team, doesn't it?

All of a sudden, my 'crazy' pick for a Seattle-Carolina NFC championship doesn't look so crazy.
It's only week 2, but still...

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The Bears sucking power is nothing compared to that of the Cardinals. They lost 38-0. Come on. I'm willing to bet that there are a decent number of college teams that could beat the Cards right now.
On a good note, Plummer was kickin' ass today, at least before his shoulder got hurt. Maybe he might actually turn out to be good, now that he's free of the Cardinals.

I'll take that bet. No college team can beat a pro-team, even one as bad as the Cardinals.

This week's Lombardi standings look interesting for tonight:
Sloth and Tuberski lead with 11-4, and both have DAL as their final pick.
Sloww, Defiant, HTower, JohnT, Sneak, and I are on 10-5, and all have NYG as their final pick. HTower and I even have the same MNF prediction.
The excitement!

OMG did I get killed this week!!
I thought it might be a "road team" week, so I picked about 9 of them.
Road teams went 7-8 iirc.
But I'm 4-11...
Even when I'm right, I'm wrong... (sigh)

If Dallas win I have the Under a 33. If NYG wins the total score must be 31 or 32...otherwise someone else wins

ARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!
How do you allowing THREE FREAKING BLOCKED KICKS in a game? We HAD that one right in the palm of our hands with McCardell's brilliant catch and the offensive line had to go and give it up... the run game was nonexistant again too...
Before everyone goes and praises the Panthers, look at Delhomme's line: 9/24/96/0/2. He absolutely sucked the meat missile yesterday, and Stephen Davis (big shock) was the only thing that gave Carolina a chance all game long. What killed us was the field position battle and (of course) the OL's ineptitude on both offense and special teams. You don't have a case for this being an all around bad performance unless we choke in Georgia next week (hey, Imran, I hope Doug Johnson has a good health plan! )
Man, what a bad weekend... the Bucs choke one away, I stink up the pick'em league, and I get KILLED by Sloth in the fantasy league... *sighs*
Lombardi team scores will be done tomorrow after the DAL/NYG game tonight...

Eh...wasn't a good game in the lot out here. KC v. Pittsburgh looked pretty darn good at the start...but got ugly fast.
Man...I need to pick one QB and stick with him...Bledsoe rocked this week and I had him on the pine!

Our team is consistent. Last week, we all sucked.
This week, we all have 8 wins going into the MN game.
Maybe next week we will all be good...

hey, I have their kicker. no one is upset at those blocked kicks than me.
though it wouldn't have helped me win the game. I was just outscored badly

Yeah, Reis, that Tampa extra point missed cost me in my money pool. No matter what else happened in the evening or on monday night, I would have won.
To add insult to injury, there was still a possibility for me to win, but the Bears would have had to beat the Vikings. ARgggggggggggggggggggggg.

on a postive note, at least my picks are consistant. Though I never seem to be in the running to get the most picks for the week.
And I survive another weak of suicide picks. I have to wait till tonight for my executioner to play.

I beg to differ. It's nuttier than a fruitcake.
Carolina ?

OMG I agree with Sloww....
...but then again, Carolina?
Seattle has some good skill position players, and the AFC looks pretty balanced so far. Mostly, they will need the defense to stay healthy, for Buffalo to stumble -- and for no one to wake up Hasselbeck and remind him that he sucks.

Am I dreaming or has CBS marked the Oakland-Cin game incorrectly? I should have 11 wins, not ten

The secret of my success? Ignorance and Tuesday pick-making.
Actually, I always go by who wore the lighter colored pants the previous week.
Naw, seriously though: Add up the letters in the quarterbacks name, divide by 3, then multiply by 1/2 the number of letters of their most important guy on the DL (don't forget middle names!). Team with the highest score wins!

Just goes to show how lucky he really was...though I found that table a bit confusing myself...Reis' explanation in the message forum cleared it right up.
I also like how he's circled the scores in massive blue pen, just in case we're all retarded or something.

All I can say is that I am off to a very bad start. My picks are horrible and by Team, the Bears, may be the worst in football. Name one worse if you disagree.
The best game of the day, IMHO, was the Carolina - TB game. I have never, ever, seen so many blocked kicks. Great job Carolina. I also wouldn't be surprised to see someone on the TB special teams, coach or player, fired. That was the worst performance by a special teams team in history.
