I dunno... Michigan is sure looking good right now .

I remember people saying that the 1983 Nebraska team was good enough to beat the lesser NFL teams (Tampa Bay and New Orleans, of course), but hell, they couldn't even beat Miami.

So what is it, Ned?
Was it a case of "Best" or "Worst"?
Make up your mind!

He didn't say he would break the record, he said if he got 30 carries he'd have a career day, while he certainly did that, if he had scored 5 times or even ran for 200, those would qualify for a career day.
But, congrats to him, helluva game!

|
Didn't realize Carolina had such a great D (#2 to TB last year).
It would be pretty surprising if Chucky didn't make someone a scapegoat. Looking at the TB running game and the fact that all 3 blocks came right up the gut, I'm guessing the O-line will take the hit -- but only if they have alternatives.
On ESPN last night, they were blaming Grammatica for the last one, saying he just didn't elevate the ball.
edit -- Of course, it's always easier to fire a coach...

Hell. Last week, Emmitt had to call Time-Out twice, to avoid delay of game penalties.

While the Bears lost and looked bad last night. At least they weren't embarrassed as they were last week. They "played" the second half and just didn't give up.
They still suck

Mark your calendars, boys.
November 30
2003 Toilet Bowl
Arizona at Chicago
The Cards kicked Chicago butt in the preseason...
The good news is, with Arizona on the schedule once and Detroit twice,
the Bears may actually win a game or two...

I'm figuring the Fox announcers are already lining up their excuses to be out that week...
Saddest part -- I'll almost certainly watch it.

It was nice to see they didn't just throw in the towel. I only wish they could have held MN to a FG on that last (93-yeard, 9:23) drive. That was brutal.
Sometimes I think Blache is as pathetic as Shoop.
My only real problem with Jauron is that he's loyal to them both...
Meanwhile, GM Angelo signs question marks to long term deals and lets the studs leave town.
After this disastrous season plays out, I'd like to see all of them axed.

So do I and Sloww. We could end up in a dead heat.
Of course, we are both Slackers, so that would be fine.

20 to 7 at the half... Dallas is looking pretty good. They should have gotten 3 more at the end of the half, but I bet it will be "nicer" in the Dallas locker room at the half than the Giants Locker room

New York may do something nobody else has done... beat Parcells when he goes into the 4th quarter with a 12 point lead... The Giants just scored with 6:20 left in the fourth quarter... tied at 29. An exciting one.

Is anybody watching this game...
The Giants take a 3 point lead with 11 seconds left.
On the kick off... the Giants kick it out of bounds, and gives the Cowboys ONE shot from their own 40. A pass down the Giants 42... 4 seconds left. And they kick a 52 yard field goal to tie it up... OT
The Cowboys won the toss.

With New York as a 7 and 1/2 point favorite.. toast time for New York in the pick em leagues...
Both teams have had their chance in OT... back to Dallas getting another try.
