Wouldn't it be an insurrection, then?

UKRAINE!!!! A flag even worse than Lithuania!!!!
Estonia....So beautiful, yet so misunderstood....

Russian people only suffer because of your incompetent, corrupted, bully, imperialist, facist leaders. We - your neighbours know what were talking about. There just simply is no deal you guys haven't broke. Why shoul EU allow your mafia, prostitutes and car thieves flow freely to our rich homelands?
|
Making Russia suffer only makes the problem worse. Remember the Red Revolution? Wanna know why it happend? Well, save the fact Nicholas was an incompetent fool, the Russian people were tired of living under the oppression they were living under.
Remember Germany? The Germans were tired of living under oppression.
The more you make Russia suffer, the closer Russia steps to becoming another Stalinist government. And then....
The only way Russia can become a very nice democracy is if it gets cooperation from the rest of the world. Admitantly, Russia makes this difficult, but in the end it's better for everybody that Russia be nice and peaceful.

Hey Man From Utah, were trying to be as nice as we can. We even repair their Nuclear powerplants from our own taxpayers money so that they wouldnt blow up(Ignalina)
We dont have any problems with the russians themselves just the authorities and their arbitrary extra-fees and taxes to tourists and freights. Few years ago it was the border authorities trying to fill their pockets, but nowadays it seems to be all Kremlin politics. They just want to irritate/punish us

WTF? Ignalina is in Lithuania, and no, there were no repairs needed there, just security upgrades (IT and procedures), in order for some idiot operator not to be able to cause a Chernobyl-II by "what does this lever do?".
And they were funded by Sweden, not Finland.

Since Estonia has joined the EU how long will it be before they join the currency union?

Both us and Estonia target EMU in 2007. We'll have to go through ERM-2 first, though.

Saras is correct. I have spent some time looking at those maps. This was in 1997. back when the Lith soldiers were like smelly russians. Now, they are suave, cologne-scented i-banker types.
