Seeking "Regular Folks" Units
Anyone know where I might find some non-military modern folks? Briefcase guys, for instance. I plucked some from Cam's Gangster scenario, and one or two off of CSC. Found one on Eyn's site.
Picketers would be especially great - guys holding signs.
What I really need is a game with appropriate-sized ordinary people that I can use as templates. I'll end up repainting quite a few of them, but I want the bodies at least.
Any ideas?

SimCity3000. If you zoom in to the maximum, or so, they will get to Civ2 size, about. You may have to do some shrinking, but SC3000 is probably the best you will find.
Good luck! Sounds interesting!

Modern urban scenario, perhaps!!!
mindseye made me a WebVan delivery truck, which is probably funnier in San Fran than Tallahasee, but it looks great. I was looking for some business guys and found the same units you listed... I would also be interested in 20th century urban people. 1960s hippies would be fabulous!

A couple of 'em are swirring around the net. Most are used as diplomats and perhaps settlers. Question is, what kind of scenario do you need them for? (Dumb question, I mean to ask what it's about?) Maybe I could make some myself.

I want to make an urban corporate takeover type scenario with lawyers, bankers, politicians, policemen, gang members, construction workers, and environmentalists.
I was thinking about having a couple of Corporate office towers each try to buyout a majority of barbarian city blocks, by using bribery, if possible.

Try Gangwars and Mafia scenarios.
Cenepa is also good. The units look a lot like police.

Sounds like I need to actually buy Sim City and play for a while
Leo, thanks a bunch!
As for why I need them, well, I figured it would be nice to finish my "black history trilogy" with a Martin Luther King scenario. I'm writing it between experimental participants, so the going is pretty slow. No estimated release date yet. Mostly this is the research phase, where I'm reading a lot of books on the King era and taking notes, plus jotting down what will be clever and new about the scenario.
There will be some truly strange stuff in this scenario... most importantly, as the SCLC you will not be able to attack anyone unless you build Black Panther or Angry War Vet units. Even then, if you actually kill anyone you start getting the white voters pissed off, which starts creating National Guard and pro-South FBI units everywhere.

blackclove - great idea! sounds very novel - you can do a ton of unique stuff with that one.
------
thanks - I have picked up Gangwars and Mafia. Both (IIRC) have great industial terrain options as well, which will be necessary in my still conceptual trade and bribe model.
now as soon as I can get my wife away from Photoshop with the baby pictures...

If you're working on Black History, maybe Nat Turner's slave rebellion would be an interesting setting. This took place in Virginia in the 1820s or so.
When you mentioned construction workers and policemen, for a moment I feared that you were working on a Village People scenario.
