Ja2
On my third start, I think I am finally getting it right. My first one didn't last long.
I both killed off the contact with Miguel -- there was no indication of me having to giver her the letter in the dialogue and the game didn't end when I used her for target practice -- and took too long to capture a mine on the second one.
Whew. My crazy black chick Alpha and her four team members -- Ira, Blood, Steroid, and the newly deceased Buns -- have just captured the obvious nearby mine. I never managed to find the mine supervisor the last time around. Would s/he be below or above ground and is there a preferred location?
It would be nice to know when I continue the game tomorrow.

A quality game like X-Com, for those not familiar with it. Steep learning curve though, which is why Leo's (and everyone else's) 1st start failed miserably.

Jagged Alliance2 kicks ass
unfortunately my copy crashed whenever I got near Miguel's house, so I got rid of the game, if anyone knows where I can get it without crashes pm me
i got an original version man.. and then people are surprised I get pirated versions
Ps: there is also an extra campaign (add-on) or something, which I also had, but like I said, I couldn't play it

Speaking of X-COM-like games... Has anybody seen the new thing called Operation Silent Storm? It's a game developed by Nival Interactive. I've only played the russian demo, and was greatly impressed, but I think there is an english demo out as well now. Looks really cool to me, that one.

Jagged Alliance 2 is exactly like Baldur's Gate 2, except that it's actually fun. I am not sure why it's considered a strategy game. Meh.
I now have the mine under my benificent control and am heading an assault on the airport.

Anyone who likes JA, I'd recomend Commandos 2, or the soon-to-be released Commandos 3. Awsome games.

I loved JA2 but I strongly disliked a Commandos -Demo.
I like the Beginning, the constant Low Ammunition, to have to carry secondary Weapons using other Calibres..
The Money Managment..
I dunno COmmandos is a completly another Tactical GAme.

Commandos is more like Jagged Allegiance meets Deus Ex, I guess.
