No, it would word by word translation mean High school, but the Swedish school system is far from the American, and a 'Högskola' is almost the same as a University... I'm not quite sure on the defenitions, but I think the 'Högskola' is more technical, and educates different levels of engineers. While a Univeristy is more focused on pure thery... But I'm not 100% sure...
