Slowing down old games under Win98 AND Reconfiguring sound card
So my sound card stopped working for some reason, and whenever I have my windows search for drivers it won't find any, while install progs will just make the windows hardware installer pop up and look for drivers (look above for results). So where do I find up-to-date ( ) drivers for SB PCI 128 so I can make my win find actual files OR where can I get a proper install programm that enforces proper drivers?
As for the main subject, I actually managed to dig out Syndicate from some Italian website. I played it but it's running too fast. For DOS machiens there used to be Game Wizard etc, what can I use for Win98 and where can I find it?

Open your machine up (with the power off, obviously), remove the sound card and then put it back in. Make sure it sits in the slot tightly. Chances are it is not in the PCI slot properly.

I suppose it is now, because all components are found by the hardware manager, they're just not installed properly. Might get a new card as well, but somehow I get the feeling I just forgot how t oinstall a soundcard

You stick the sound card in the computer - don't forget to remove your old one. Install driver.

at the sounblaster website or some other website forgot the name windrivers something
go to the sb website, they have a program that will automatically detect the type of your sb pci 128 (there are a lot of them) so you can get the right latest driver
