You will still only have two starting techs, just have the values all averaged out to 3 (they normally valued at 2 to 5).
Once again, if you guys want more powerful barbs, go for it, but don't come b*tching to me when you pop three angry barbs next to your capital and you haven't settled your other cities...
Speaking about other cities, if you don't like the multiple settler/worker groups, say so. I only put it in to speed up the early game...

Multiple settlers and workers are fine.
When should we send our civ stats to Master Zen? (maybe I should ask him)

I'm not really a friend of big starting packs (multiple settlers and workers), but I will respect the decision of the majority.

Yes, its less effective, but not completely so. I think there are two BIG bonuses to expansionist. Yes, the scout is nice (and te starting Jag negates this), but the other part is better. Goodie Huts are nicer to expansionist civs (ie: better chance of popping a settler or city).

In one of my PBEMs I popped 2 camps at once not by entering with a warrior, but by city expansion in 3500BC. I was confronted with six angry barbarians, against 2 of my warriors, one of which was already far away exploring. They killed my worker, pillaged all I had improved until this point, defeated my city defender, stole all my gold (only 10), killed one citizen, leaving the city at size one. Mind you it were only warriors, but the difficulty was emperor, where barbarians are much more powerful than under regent and monarch.

I would rather face mediocre barbs and ferocious human opponents. Make babrbs too powerful and you may take the 'chance' out of what they were intended to provide the game.

yeah but a goody hut stlr will only increase your empire by a third rather than doubling it. Expansionist rocks against humans, with more importance on maps and without the extra AI units popping all the huts.
I'm ok with the 3 stlr start and everything else, don't like 3 traits, like SR I won't have ind as one of my 2,
or will I

SR, no, I have no set bedtime. I was just tired when I posted that so I went to sleep. I have been working third shift here in the Central Time Zone for almost 6 years. Between this, and my military training, I now have the ability to go to sleep/wake up anywhere, anytime at an instant notice. The only time I can garuntee I will be asleep is 1900 - 2200 GMT. All others I can wake up, kill some people (ie, play my turn), then go back to bed.
Hmmm... just got of the toliet again (wonderful place the toliet. The smell could be better, but thats for OT disscussion) and you are right, I should probably go before you (SR). Make it Anatolia, me, SR, OPD, NYE/GF/Beta, BF.

Ok, I seem to be in the minority about the barbs.... who about I give a little and say that we keep them as they are, but make lots of them. Set barbs to raging and have MZ place 2 (or more) camps somewhere in our lands?
Also, having the three settler groups is not needed. We could even cut it to two groups and it would still increase the speed of the game.
I am also against 3 traits. Industrious is indeed a very useful trait, but I am of the opinion that it is NOT that important....

I'm okay with 3 traits and raging barbarian warriors.
Since we have two camps, why don't we compromise. Those who only want two traits can take two and those who want three can take three. There going to be secret anyway so no need to tell how many you chose...............

BTW, right now (or about 15-20 minutes ago) would be the best time for me to play my turn everyday.
That would be 1355 GMT.

Why not? You get your two traits, we get our three traits, everybody's happy.

Your not changing your mind now are you? Have you paid Aggie that $200 on the bet that GS wouldn't be as stupid as we thought?

Three traits will suck,
I doubt anyone will pick expan, and commercial's benefits can be surpassed by RCP.
3 from 4 won't give much diversity

BF voted yes, it was his idea, I say each PTW team gets 6 trait picks to distribute amongst their representatives, since GS has three players they get 2 each. Me and donegeal split our 6 with 3 each. Beta and Big Free get 6 traits each since they are each the only one from their teams.
Anatolia isn't on a PTW team so he gets no traits.
