Ocean remains the same
That's an old problem, but I still don't know the answer: why... I can't change the ocean in my scenarios. No matter what I place in the proper place, it remains the same.
Please help

I assume you mean changing the look of the terrrain? That's because for all the map views "Medium Zoom-out" and closer, the ocean terrain uses the coastline graphics found at the bottom of Terrain2 bmp. Only when you zoom out farther does it use the ocean graphic in Terrain1 bmp.
It's just to make sure it's not too easy, I guess.

It would have made more sense to make the coastline graphics add on to the normal background like everything else in Terrain2. I have no idea why they didn't.

You can't simply add the coastline onto the Ocean, because the coastline slightly fades into the Ocean color. So there is no distinct boundary.
So if you significantly change the Ocean graphic, you'll have to change all of the coastal graphics anyway. Regardless of whether it were an added layer or not.
Only with the non-coastal Ocean they could have used the original Ocean graphic, but that doesn't make much difference anyway.

Thanks.
And now, as I can not make it in a separate thread, as it was deleted twice, I'd like to show You progress of my work - here.

Thanks again. And yes, DBAonline was a great help (great thanks again), as the biggest problem with unit making are always resources. I think those units could have been made better of course... But I don't have that much time.
Again again again and again great thanks for the link... It will spare me a lot of work in the future

IIRC, some time ago Magyar mentioned a scenario set in the 11th and 12th Centuries in Eastern Europe...
I think I mentioned this to Heresson already, but you need to take some of the DBAonline pics with a pinch of salt. They use the best sources available (Osprey books), but sometimes their artistic licence produces inaccuracies. It's still a nice source if you don't have the Osprey books though, and judging by Heresson's and Cimbri's units it's possible to do good conversions from the graphics. BTW, I think it was Tanelorn who found DBAOnline some time ago.

Maybe but you're forgetting how illiterate I am. It's probably a sign that points to a convalescence home for dried up scenario loving fossils such as myself. It's a road I lost myself on a long time ago.

Not specifically eastern europe, I just needed Hungarians and Polish since there is a quality shortage of these national units. The idea was to have a scenario based in the 12th century that pitted the major kingdoms of europe against each other in a pbem atmosphere. I think its a great idea , something that techumseh and Heresson should team up and work together on so I can enjoy a nice PBEM game without going through the labor pains of giving birth to such a monstrosity. Did I mention it needs to be ToT AND on a gigamap? You'd guys had better get to work quick.
