Peloponnesian Bugs
It seems like every time I try to play Alex the Magnificent's "Peloponnesian War" scenario as the Spartans, I get the first three event texts at the immediate start of the game. Then, a bug kicks in and civII has "performed an error and will automatically shut down." Has anyone else experienced this problem, or is it just me?
Also, the same thing happens before I get the last tech advance in the 1861 Civil War Scenario.
Could the problem be that these scenarios were written for FW and I'm in MPG?
Any insights or help appreciated.

Yeah, it does that MPG, do we know why yet? (I'm asking everyone else here when I say "we", no, I'm not talking to my different personalities, no, I'm NOT crazy! I'm not damnit! not!) So, we just got a bit off the topic...
I don't know what causes it, but I got it too, so it's not just you.

It happened to me too (although not with this scenario-I don't think I ever tried it).
I believe it has to do with one of the files. The most likely ones are Game.txt and Labels.txt. Throw them out, then try again.

And while we're at it, heavy rams are set to die after attacking.

Unfortunately, Alex isn't likely to update any of his scenarios, which is sad because a lot of them are very buggy, and thus good or very good, but not perfect
Further, he's (temporarily?) not doing anything for Civ2 anymore

ON his website he announced he's going to stop making creations for civ2 Maybe we could just ask him to finish or give to someone else to finish and release the Russian Civil War scenario he's working on. Yes, I get the same problem when playing as te Spartans!

Alter the rules.txt for the prerequisites of "Future Tech" to be nil.
Then save and reload the scenario. See if that fixes it.
