havent migrated to the higher levels, maintaining a winning style on warlord level... next step seems much more difficult

I'm on monarch level now.
Civ 2 is better in many almost indefinable ways. It's the vibe, the mojo, something.

So how are we travelling people for a Friday night session?
I'm beginning to think of these sessions as nostalgia evenings.
I got my butt handed to me again in my latest Civ3 game

Barring accidents, I'll be here. But I'll be taking time out at 11.15pm to watch the InterDominion grand final.
Megan said you accosted her whenever it was she was down in Canberra for the Guild.

I did - she was wearing a bright red satin chinese chemise and fishnet stockings at the meeting. Being incorrigable, I had to think speak to her after the meeting.
She said you fed her recently. I smiled and thought (you bastard - what about me).

Funnily enough, she wore red to dinner here last Saturday week. Sort of a split skirt over another skirt. And black fishnets. I should have thought to invite you. I had seven, I could have done eight. In fact, I had seven again last Saturday night and could have done eight. Mrs finbar was away in Alice Springs and I was keeping myself amused.

Only monarch level on civ3 Horse, not good enough, should be able to play emperor, that is easy enough, but deity is impossible though (almost, I have won 1 out of about 50)

Things are hacking me off - like you miss a wonder and it won't let you save the production, and as soon as an ai civ launches a spaceship the game is over, the ai is calibrated so basically the ai civs are always ahead of you no matter what you do, the strategic map doesn't scroll.
Talk about kill the fun.

I can kick the AIs ass in Civ3 on emperor when I only have one city and can't leave the cultural radius, got ahead in Tech by the end of the ancent age and was an age ahead by the middle of the modern age

saving production sucked in civ2 ... so i glad it gone... you just need to plan which wonders you targeting... usually in the higher levels i dont build any wonders and jsut stick to building city improvments,.... cant use same startegie you used in civ2 ....
