Goodoh. It can spend the day outside now if it's nice and sunny. And if it behaves itself. Bring it in at night, though.

Attempt to explain to it why Melville Island is now, suddenly, no longer part of Australia.

still part of australia just not part of our immigration zone... me thinks they should exclude all the states too now, just leave ACT especially canberra as the immigration zone. that way they have to make it there to claim refugee status

Just another measure by an ugly, cynical, racist government trying to win another election.

Sadly, the MSN polls have consistently shown 60-70% support for those policies.

They only representing the populaces opinions. If this type of event gets them a win then they must have community support.
And not allowing all boat people in doesnt necessarily mean racist, it just means lets stop the queue jumpers, if they are legal refugess they will be processed acordingly. If they just illegal imigrants then send them back.

I'm sure if a boatload of white anglo saxon refugees landed on Melville that Little johnney would also send them packing.

Yes, I wonder what the reaction would be if boatloads of white Zimbabwean farmers started lobbing up on West Australian beaches.
