Bad news fellas. My hard drive is fried (on a friend's PC now). Taking it to a technician tomorrow, hopefully back soon.
Here's what happened: a friend of mine was given a PC, which was having trouble, so I tried to fix it for him. Tried to reformat his HD, it stopped responding. Brought it home, installed into my PC as a slave, tried to reformat it from there. It didn't respond. My PC started acting funny, and a day later, sudden collapse. Now my HD isn't responding. What do you reckon, a boot sector virus?

We seem to have a slight problem.
I can play the save normally until I hit the F1 key for the F1 screen. The game then craps out with a microsoft error report. All the other F keys work. And F1 works with other ptw saves - both SP and MP. I tried a number of them. So it seems that there is something up with this save.
I assume we are all using 1.27.
I can play the turn without using the F1 screen, and we can see what happens. What do you folks suggest?

1.27f for me.
I recall this happening a lot in PTWDG.
Especially RP, where the save would work on some PC's but not others.
I suggest you give you save to another person to look at.

Ok - well I suggest we play on and see what happens. As I mentioned - the turn can be played without accessing the f1 screen. It will be intersting to see if the next player - vondrack - has the same issue.
Sending to vondrack.

No problems/crashes for me.
And I made sure to inspect all of my cities.

Man - you must have been up all night.
I had explained to vondrack that I could also crash the game by trying to open the individual city screen for a certain one of my cities - but not the others.
Interestingly enough - it is the one city I have that has changed hands.
I wonder if this same glitch will exist when the game roles around to me. And it is not evident in my other dozen+ pbems and demo games.

I think GS/RP had the same problems when they did bulk transfers of cities.
