Maybe not animosity, but you can't sit there and claim the other.

What exactly do we have to envy of Texas?

Does D.C. have a State Guard?

Now, you Yankee bastard's try coming down here.

As a matter of fact they do. But I'm no DCer. I'm an Ohioan by birth and outlook.

I guess that's why we have no envy. Repeated devestating military victories will clear up any inferiority complexes real quick-like.

**** off, Arrian.
I want any lip off you, I'll scrape it from my zipper.
Ohio? Hell. I guess I'd go to D.C. too.

Ah, the natural Texan charm in operation here.
No wonder they call it the Lonestar state.

At least Texas ain't the state that gets laughed at all the time like California...
I think Texas has the the right to be boastful of their state. They have a very dominant and unique culture, good industry, and a healthy attitude towards the greatest sport ever (Football)...
However, I do not envy Texas, yet I do not loath them. Texans love their state and love being Texan, nothing wrong with that... Except maybe all the killings of cheerleaders

Hey the Texan's love our boy Carr, say the valley has the same mentality of Texas... So, I guess in some way, we're a little bit Texas. Maybe it's the Rodeo or the weekly 1 hour special dedicated to HS football?

Woo-hoo!
Now, does Bavaria have high school football?
No.
I don't mean that game that's really soccer.

The Texas of Canada would naturally have to be Alberta.
And that's sad, because I have to live here.
But that's all right, all is not lost yet, and there's still time to halt the downfall.
We just need a few good years of economy-suffocating NDP rule.
PANNU IN 2005 (6?) (7?) (8??)!!!

It isn't? Well, I've never known anyone express envy or animosity towards Texans. Maybe you run around with a different crowd than I do.

When I lived in Nebraska there seemed to be a lot of Texas envy. Chicagoans seems to think of Texas as a joke.

The secret is the 'weiss Wurtz'.
'Preuz' is everything north of the 'Weiss Wurtz Grenze' : river Main.
Baden-Wurtemberg is not considered as Preuz:
They say "Gruess-Gott" and "Auf wieder schauen", just like in Bayern.
And when I explained that in my region they made some "boudin blanc" which is a kind of "weiss wurtz" - and that if you extend the river Main to Belgium I was living south of it - I suddenly become more human to their eyes.
