-Ar you sure that there isnt any (or very little ppl) that could own you in this game?
-Is this game multiplayerable?

I used to own in Shadowbane. Biggest meanest minotaur you ever met! I don't play it anymore though, and I'm stuck at mediocrity in the only multiplayer game I'm playing now - WW2Online. (Although I do have my moments)

I don't know if I own any game.
I'm pretty good in Diablo2, and SMAC. But I definately am not near the best in those games. I'm pretty good as Baldur's Gate 2 as well.
I'm probably best at the fallout games.

I used to be a competitive Quake3 player. Not best in the world, but in the top 1000 (at a time when the number of active players in Europe numbered in the hundreds of thousands) in Europe easily, so losses were few and far between on the normal FFA servers.
WC3: RoC I was good at, but I never quite managed to break the top 1000 in Europe.

I was an unstoppable force in the original Warcraft. I'm not too shabby at Starcraft, either, but I haven't played much online so I can't guarantee I'm a master.

Hehe, online gaming is at least 1000 times more competitive than SP or gaming with friends. I used to play Quake with my friends, and do well. We thought we were very skilled. Then we started playing online and got p1ssed on by everyone under the sun.

I'd agree to a point but at least if you're playing with friends you can be (relatively) sure that no one's cheating or if they are you can walk over and punch them in the mouth. But I'm not bitter or anything; I'm just saying.

Of course you have to be vigilant playing online. But my point is a fair one - people that think they are good when playing on LANs often are quite awful in reality. I still remember my shock at the pasting I received in my first FFA Quake3 game online.

any fps but especially any of the quakes. it's really amazing how being hpb(for the uninitiated that means High Ping Bastard) for years made me into a killer player. i used to play netquake / quakeworld with 150-300ms ping vs sub 50ms opponents(mostly college students). ahh, my glory days of online gaming. i remember my first lan when i was so much better than everyone else(because we all had equal pings on lan now) that we pretty much didn't play quake except for a few games. and yes, i was one of those little cocky *******s my only defense is i was a teenager then.

Actually, about WW2online, I'm pretty damned good at strafing ground targets in a plane. I've been working on flying the Blen bomber, too, but I mostly just rely on carpet bombing field bases and hoping that I hit something.

500 AD landing on emperor as a 7 year old.
I own at the single player part of any shooter. I've beaten HALO on legendary using only plasma pistols. Half Life using only the Glock and explosives.
I'm sure, however, that my ass could get owned at either of these in multiplayer. I don't deal well with opponents when I can't predict their moves with 100% accuracy.

Back in school I used to own in Age of Kings. But playing online against complete strangers completely redefined the concept of getting my butt kicked. Even though I was on a winning streak for a little while, it somehow came to an end and I was the Ownee rather than the Owner.
Even earlier than that, I used to own majorly in Street Fighter 2, even though the only outlet for that available to me was a coin-op machine at the local fish and chip shop.
I don't completely own at any game these days. Though it isn't likely that people would shout "f***n n00b!!!" at me either (unless they have no life outside of whatever game I am playing against them).
