Mge Diplomacy Events Question!
OK, I need the help of our SL experts!
In my latest top secret ( ) scenario I have 7 empires.
3 are human, 4 are not...
Of the 4 non humans, 2 NEVER engage in diplomacy.
Is there any way to isolate them in events like so:
@IF
NEGOTIATION
talker=Undead Empire
talkertype=HumanOrComputer
listener=anybody
listenertype=HumanOrComputer
@THEN
@IF
NEGOTIATION
talker=anybody
talkertype=HumanOrComputer
listener=Undead Empire
listenertype=HumanOrComputer
@THEN
Is this legal for MGE?
Or do I have to waste a ton of events space and
ban every other empire from talking with the undead?
Pointers would be welcome!

The events above will effectively ban any negotiations for the undeads if they are computer controlled.

Cheers, Pericles.
And if the human player is the undead civ, will this event hold true, as well?

That's it You can change that using "talkertype=Computer" instead of "talkertype=HumanorComputer"

Cool!
This is for Bitterfrost.
I want to make sure the two evil civs, the Undead and the Ancient Ones do not talk to anyone.
They have their own wicked, secret tech trees and are totally at odds with the other civs, diplomacy cannot happen with these guys.
I was worried I would have to devote a large chunk of the events file to keeping these civs unsociable!

I've always wondered why any scenario designers (like Jay Bee, for example) do this. Maybe because they learned with "Conflicts in Civilization" and the "ANYBODY" label appeared in "Fantastic Worlds"?

Oh yes, there will be diplomacy allright.
Not by the writings of the scribes though, but rather by the force of arms!

For the humans there will be talk...
And for the undead, the song of swords!

Actually it's because even in MGE using the "anybody" trigger means that the first faction to trigger the event is thereafter considered to be the "anybody" faction and a second faction eligible to trigger the event will simply be ignored.

That's not true for negotiations though.
There the anybody trigger works fine.

That't what I was typing about. I've seen scenarios where a lot of "events.txt" is dedicated to forbid negotiations between a civ and the rest of civs.
