199 results. I'd be willing to bet most of them are me.
952 if I leave out the quotes around my name. I'm still the first result either way. Actually, my geocities site is the first result for my name

I'm hit number 44 for Asmodean
But then I guess I already knew that. My username is a character of Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" series. A series which is heavily debated over the internet. I guess that I should feel proud that I didn't have to look further down than 44

4090 hits for "Rufus T. Firefly"; I'm #80. What's odd is that what's at #80 is a response in an archived Civ2 thread from May, 2001. I don't show up again until #108, which is my recent RIP Warren Zevon thread. Gotta wonder what the logic is there...

I got a message saying "Did you meant to write duke of york", but even then 131,000 hits. Couldn't be bothered looking past the first page of all those I'm afraid so I looked up duke o' york civilization: the first two were for 'poly, the next two had nothing to do with Civ in any form, and only fifth was for CFC (where I had/have far more posts than I'll ever achieve at 'poly). Time flies when you're off the net even for a little bit.
With " then I'm top, as I should have hoped.
Fifth or sixth in the list was this: www.eaan.gr/h33-kousoul-c.htm so if anyone can read Greek then I'm dying to knwo what the heck it's all about.
Also namechecks starlifter on CFC.

I'm #344 of 24,900, from an old Civ 3 design forum. I did manage to turn up a few treasures as well.
Firstly, my home page: http://web.bham.ac.uk/psg5qaf8/Sikander.htm
And the family business' home page: http://www.tirestyres.com/trade/aa019624.html
(Welcome to Tires, Tyres and More TIRES!!)
and as a bonus, I stumbled across a mention of an old friend and roommate of mine from many years ago (1978-1979). He's a professor of Statistics (he got his PhD when we lived together) and head of his department. He's got 50 publications and two books. Way to go!

There are only 5 hits for my username. I'm number 2.
#1 is someone with an easyjournal account called frustratedpoet. It isn't me.
Funnily enough the page that is listed for me is Darcloud's Faces of Apolyton interview where for some reason he lists part of an IRC converstation I was having once. I have no memory of this conversation.

There have been craploads of Sir Ralph's in British history, so I have no chance in hell to get on page one. I found my first occurance on #70. What amazed me is, that my domain ( www.datenmuell.de, "data trash") can be found at position #13, although it (nomen est omen) doesn't contain anything worth to mention, and its index page is filled with random rubbish.

Actually, if you knew that, you could make yourself a very rich man. There are companies that do nothing but try to guess Google's algorithms, in order to advise other companies how to structure their websites to get as far up the list a possible for certain keywords.
