Scenario hosting
I am back to the forums after a 7 day break that I spend in Barcelona on my last class trip.
Now that I'm back and full with fresh ideas I thought my own little page looks quite nice but somehow it's still missing something. So I figured why not ask the people around here wether they would like their scenario featured at my site.
So, who would like to see their scenario(s) at my site?

One thing that would be great would be having you make a commitment to hosting the winning scenarios for the third Design Competition. There's a message over at HAC for those who are interested in co-hosting it.
And of course you should also ENTER the contest! Win fame and fortune and become a super-well-respected designer!

I have a few scenarios that I would be happy to have hosted.
The Apolyton Scenario V.1.1
TAS2 (coming soon)
Heavy Metal
Pacific 2000
Air War 3000
Futura Magica (A.D. 7000)
Byzantines Last Chance (Contantinoples last stand)
and some others.
Are you interested?

Benedetti: First of all I have to say that I am working for some while now on a big overhaul of the site with a new layout that's more eye appealing. Also the way things are organised will probally change and more detailed descriptions will be added at least to my own scenarios. I alrady have descriptions of the hosted scenarios along with sreenshots. But that will be improved. I don't like how it looks now.
WarVoid: I'll have to admit that I don't know any of them. I read about that Pacific and Apolyton one but that's it. I am interested. What exactly are they all abouyt? If you want you can begin with Byzantine one. Send it to kaktusdh@worldonline.nl
I'm very interested in it.
I will see howe many I can host. For now I have about 85 MB of free space but of course I would also need some room for other things.

Cool, i'll send over the Byzantine one.
Here's a brief desc. of all scenarios.
The Apolyton Scenario V.1.1
Moderators and free Apolytoners duke it out in a world based on the Apolyton forums and people.
TAS2 (coming soon)
The sequel.
Heavy Metal
Based on the cult movie. A very nice scenario. One of my best. Each civ has it's own set of units. A classic battle between good and evil.
Pacific 2000
Take command of one of tOceania's modern day island nations.
Air War 3000
The earth has been polluted so badly people can't live on the ground. Space is not a survivalbe option anymore. The UN decides to build giant "flying islands" in the upper clean atmosphere. But the UN is destroyed by barbarians and a civil war breaks out between the seven cities.
Futura Magica (A.D. 7000)
An interesting post-apocalypse scenario. The age of machines is over and magic has resurfaced in the world. A very unique scenario. Each civ has it's own set of units and combines sci-fi and fantasy. Play as Mutants, Robots, Elves or Dragons.
Byzantines Last Chance (Contantinoples last stand)
The Turks stand poised to take the Byzantines last two cities. Can you change history and rebuild Rome?
and some others.
Are you interested in any of them?

BTW I'd appreciate it if you'd put my scenarios, The Fall of the West Roman Empire, and, Barron's Earth 3000: A Time to Stand, on the site.
I was working on some other scenarios, The New Jihad, and, The Nimbus III Revolt. The former being a complete remake of WWIII: 1998, cause I liked the idea and wanted to make a lot more of it. The latter is a prequel to my Barron scenario. It's a multipart scenario about a remote desert mining colony where the people revolted againt the Alliance, which triggered the global interstellar war of which my Barron scenario is a part.
However, I stopped working on civII scenarios, or anything else for that matter, quite a while ago. Perhaps one day...

Pano: I will let you know! Can you wait a week?
blackclove: I have no problem with hosting the winners! Once they are known you wil be able to find them on my site.
On entering myself; well, I would like to and I have been thinking about it for a while but I am somehow missing the right idea on what to do. But hey! Who knows...

Hello Hendrick, welcome back from the land of my ancestors (crappy soccer team in Barcelona , btw ).
I have a few comments about your site:
Bacgkround is crying for a change. In general reading is quite unpleasant.
Why do not you dedicate more space to explain the scenarios: new rules, new units, plot, strategies, etc... a la Spanish Site style.. well perhpas not that much
A hosted scenario section could be a great idea. Now that CSC has gone missing there is no place on the net to find new scenarios.

WarVoid: I got your Byzantine scn but haven't have time yet to check it out.
Air War 3000 sounds very interesting. I really like the idea! Something totally different for a change. Send it over!
Heavy Metal, Futura Magica and Pacifica 200 also sound interesting. Send them over but please only one at a time.
Mark: Found the first two.
What about the others? Are any of them finished?

Thank you. Perhaps I'll pick it up again some day...though the chances of that aren't that high, for some reason I can't get myself to do it anymore (that goes for a lot of things).

Nope...finished map, units.gif and part of the rules.txt for New Jihad. Finished map, units.gif, cities.gif, city.gif, people.gif and part of the rules.txt for Nimbus III.
New Jihad was going to be a bit like Fall of the West Roman Empire, only in modern times, without the special units (kings, generals, etc). So basicly a lot of playability and a small amount of events.
Nimbus III was going to be a 4 part scenario. It will be very much objective based, like Spartacus and Shannara, but with more freedom for the player. In other words, the player is free to do what he wants (no housrules, etc) but the scenario itself "guides" the player to certain objectives. For instance, everytime he secures an objective a new area of the map opens up (changing terrain, creating transport units, removing impassable units, etc). This could best be seen as a cross between Barron (style), Spartacus (events) and Red Front (playability).

OK, Mark, I'll add Fall to the latest round of scenarios to be reviewed (along with one other) bringing the June total to 15. Can you send me the latest version or a link to it? Is it the one on CSC?

I don't have a new version of Fall, just one of Barron from a while ago. Fall was already reviewed 3 times though...can you put up Barron instead if that's ok with you? Eventhough it won the contest it was never reviewed.
Anyway, here are the links:

Thank you! Just some notes, I have sounds for Fall of the West Roman Empire and I believe they are avaliable on CSC. Also, the Barron files on your site are of version 1.0, please use the files for version 1.1 that are posted in this thread because they fix some bugs. Thanks in advance.
(For the links (that I've posted) to work use "save target as" otherwise you'll get the page unavaliable error...long live Geocities )

My email is kaktusdh@worldonline.nl
You send me two scenarios? I only received the Byzantines Last Chance.
Could you sent me the Air War 3000 first?
I'm also interested in Futura Magica, Pacifica 2000...ach...just sent me all of them and I'll see which ones I can put up.
But please sent me only ONE at a time because my email account can't take more.

Ok, I just sent Pacific 2000 and Heavy Metal, in two seperate e-mails.
I hope you got them.
I found some problems with Air War 3K that i'd like to fix before I send it.
I'll send Futura Magica later today.

WarVoid: I posted here a while back about an Apolyton Scenario idea, would you be willing to email me a copy of your apolyton scenario?
(my email is:
khanmaned@hotmail.com)
If you need someone to host it, I've got tons of free room (with xoom and geocities).
Hendrik: Checked out your website and liked it: it's good to see an occasional page auf deutsch...
