If that isn´t what you always wanted to know I can´t help you!

When cookie-lovers open packages of their favorite snacks, some of the biscuits are often in bits.
Now scientists say they know why -- and it has little to do with the way cookies are packaged and transported.

Scientists can now explain why the cookie crumbles?

Most of the people in the world I know are accepting realists. Whatever happens, be it for better or worse, stick their hands in the pockets, shrug and say "That's how the cookie crumbles."
With the information now available because of these dedicated visionary scientists, such lazy and inept attitudes towards the world are obsolete. We are now informed that fate isn't just the order of the universe.
All life events are obviously determined by a combination of heat, humidity and transportation. I am therefore moving to a cold, dry environment with no roads. All idealists are welcome to join me at my tundra retreat where we will suffer from nothing but boredom...

Its called Government Grants.
Biggest waste of taxpayer money and the sole source of Global Warming.
If this is true, why do my Oreos and Chips Ahoy! cookies ALWAYS come intact with no broken ones? I always thought it was better packaging but now it appears the Brits just have inferior cookie technology.......

Instead, laser tests carried out by British physicists found that cookies -- or biscuits, as they are known in Britain -- often develop "fault lines" a few hours after baking.
|
That is blatantly obvious to anyone who's ever baked anything, but I guess now that we've done laser tests, we can know for certain.

I'm in China. They usually eat eggs, some sort of fluffly white pastery thing, and rice pudding for breakfast. I have no clue what they do to their bread, but it is terrible. Occassionally you can find some French or Italian bread at a supermarket. Actually, most of their cookies are rather decent, but foreign cookies are expensive.

Good cookies are hard to find everywhere.
Unless you know how to bake.

This is still true only because the sun never rises over what's left of the British empire.

The scientists used an optical technique called "digital speckle pattern interferometry" to study the surface of cookies cooling to room temperature

Speckle? Oh come on, who's gonna believe that's real science!
