Ansteig
Hey guys I was wondering if somebody could give me some help with the Ansteig scenario. When I try to load it Civ2 gives an error and shuts down. I have the multiplayer gold edition.

Everyone seems to get the same problem. It`s probably something to do with the events file; have you tried running it without events.txt in the directory?

It might also be caused by the fact that no techs are available for research - I never played it so I can't definetly pin-point that as the cause. If that is the problem, change the prerequisites for Future Tech(whatever its name is) to nil, nil.

It's ANSTIEG not Anst eig
No-Germans always mix up ei with ie and vice versa...

well...I just never knew how to pronounce it correctly, so I thought it had that "ei" sound instead of "ie".
Glad I know that now.

I had the same problem with MGE just convert the scenario to FW format with the converter in the sleague web page.
(I know that this topic disappear a while ago but if I can help anybody...

Do you have the latest version of MGE?
That's what usually causes this problem.
