Favorite Soup
I tend to have a bowl of soup of lunch and so I thought of this poll.
Obviously lots aren't listed but I tried to not have a culturally biased selection (any more than I could).
If you can't find one similar, list your soup below.
My favorite is New England clam showder.

AFAIK, goulash is a stew. Stews do not count, especially if their last name is Spink.

Criminally missing two of my absolute favourites, Hungarian Gulyás/Goulash and Polish/Russian Borstsch.
A proper, smoky Bográcsgulyás (Goulash cooked in a round iron pot over an open fire) is pure heaven.

Common misconception. Gulyás is a soup, what's sometimes called Goulash in the west is in fact a somewhat modified version of another hungarian dish, Pörkölt.

Mayo? I thought you were supposed to serve sour cream with borscht? I've only had borscht once. Apparently the Poles serve theirs cold, and I was expecting warm.

Sour cream is good, also. Mayo is actually an improvisation by my grandma.
Cold borsch is great, too, with a hard-boiled egg, and cut cucumber in it.
garlic is also great in ( hot ) borsch. Some mints are recommended afterwards, though.

I wish I had voted for wonton soup too - that is a GREAT soup, and unfairly being overlooked.
