Well, for an auto-draft, I'm pretty happy with my team.
My goalies are ace: Lalime, Giguere and Aesbischer.
Aesbischer is a bit of question mark for the playoffs, but I think he'll do well in the regular season.
My offence is a big question mark, but with lots of potential. And I got guys I like.
How about the rest of you? Happy or are you already looking to drop some players?

Dropped two already.
1. Glen Murray for Ilya Kovalchuk
2. Alexei Yashin for Bobby Holik
I like the rest of my team though.
I have Biron, Cechmanik and Nabokov.

I'm happy overall.
However, when you consider it was only 2 of us for the whole time and then three for the last half (?) once BK joined, I wonder if I should have done better...
I'm solid on the backend with:
G: Hasek, Kolzig, Denis
D: Gonchar, Pronger, Foote, Tarnstrom
And up the middle with:
C: Lemieux, Sakic, Jokinen, Forsberg
And a little weak on the wings with:
L: Forsberg, Samsanov, Daze
R: St. Louis, Kovalev, Mellanby
I made one mistake in particular, picking Daze before my 3rd goalie. Biron was available, and then BK snapped him up.
I'll be keeping an eye out for good starts amongst wingers.
BK - have you got something personal against Murray and Yashin? There's no way I'd rank them below Kovalchuk and Holik.

Yashin 'floats'. I have him in my other pool.
Murray's overperformed over the last couple of years. I'm expecting Holik to have a much better year this year, and who will get the points from Atlanta but Kovalchuk?

Murray for Kovalchuk? I don't know. I don't think last year was a blip for him. He's still going to be playing with Thornton.
Trading Yashin for Holik makes sense. Holik will rack up the PIMs.
That's the weakness in my team right now. Not enough bruisers. Maybe time to pick up Worrell? Or a Leaf.

Let's see, my team:
G: Brodeur, Luongo, Turek
D: Jovanovski, Kaberle, Boyle, Svehla
RW: Hull, Nolan, Gaborik
LW: Tkachuk, Nagy, Drury
C: Sundin, Demitra, Richards
I think I need some defensemen .

Sloth did well today...
I lost a point benching Murray.
Still nice to have 2 assists from Rafalski, and a Goal from Guerin.

Things to note so far:
1) Meowzer and Flooding CASA are totally inactive.
2) Since they are inactive 3rd is essentially the highest waiver priority - which is currently... me!
3) Both myself (Hexboy) and Stoner-boy (my little nickname for him) have no problem bailing on slow starters and experimenting.
As for my team:
-I'm running deep on C/LW/G right now and it is a bit problematic when everyone plays on the same night - hard choices and wasted games. After I decide who to keep in those areas long term, I'll even things back out.
-I'd love to pick up a powerplay D man...
-I have Kolzig in two of my three pools and I gotta say - the Capitals are really bugging me.
-I'm pleased with my pickup of Lucky Luc (Robitaille), but I wonder how long he can keep up the pace - he just isn't a Jason Allison

Yeah and meozer is in second.
What's that say about our managing.
My team is struggling.
Iginla finally got his first point after five games.
J.S. is looking like anything but cup finalist goalie.
Derek Morris has done nothing. Time to drop him.
My decision to drop Rolston qualifies me to be the GM of the Canadiens.
Thing I can't figure out is Doug Weight having a -4 rating. I also thought of him as a solid two-way player.
From the looks of things, no one is going to run away with this. It'll go right down to the end.

Oddly I have the highest +-.
Guerin's my only knuckledragger in that department.
My only weak position is in goal, because Nabokov and Biron have a combined 1 win.
I'm also 3 games behind my total.

Well my team came out of the gates running, have since slowed and ran out of gas. My goalies are doing better than expected, but my D is my main power. I need to keep them getting me points. I have been experimenting with my Center position, still not sure who will win out, but I am happy to see Lang is doing well, Robeiro is a surprise, so I doubt I will keep him. My wingers are doing awesome, my K line of Kovalchuk and Kariya are unstoppable and Hejduk and Klatt are rocking and rolling. I just have to hope the injury bug doesn't strike and my goalies get some luck and I should make a run at the Cup this year

In response to some of the names and stuff mentioned...
"Things that won't last"
- Players currently sucking: J.S. Giguere, Derek Morris, Biron
- Players currently overperforming: Mike Ribeiro, Trent Klatt
- Hoth maintaining top +/- - just check out past years of his top names
- dejon snapping up hot commodities dropped by others (Tingkai)

Well you know Mr. Mustard man(my nick for you Dejon) perhaps this season since we have so few real players we should make a bet on the league. Perhaps a lunch or drinks if we get to the others town? SuperSneak and I have been doing that in Fantasy leagues for 3 years now, we keep breaking even though

Vlad, you're in Nanaimo, not that far from Vancouver.
That's a possibility.

Sure, I'm game. I'm in TO, but I expect to visit my family Vancouver at some point next year, possibly even my wife's family in Ladysmith (south of Nanaimo).
And I like your nick for me.

Wow Ladysmith,I pass by there at least 2 times a month taking our daughter to hockey in Victoria. It's a small world. The infamous Zylka is from the island here too, just north of me in Parksville.
So lets call it a bet. Top guy gets lunch or dinner from both of the next 2, 2nd place guy between us 3 gets lunch from the 3rd place guy.
*Vlad puts out hand for handshake*
Ben where are you in Van? We get there off and on, I use the airport, but we go to hockey tourneys later in the year in Richmond and Surrey I think this year.
So are we all Canucks fans?
Everytime I see the name Dejon I think mustard man so thats what I called you the other day when the wife asked how my fantasy was doing, and it seemed to fit

* dejon shakes on it
Mustard was part of the inspiration of my nick, which was originally 'dijon' before that was taken at one provider along the way.
As for my BC roots, I was born in New Westminster, but grew up primarily in the Coquitlam area. (GVA suburb) After university I lived in Kitsilano, North Vancouver, and finally Yaletown (area of downtown Vancouver) before moving out east.
I've been a 'Nuck fan my whole life. My first favourite player was Thomas Gradin. I have vivid memories of watching Toni Tanti score highlight reel goals. I put up with the Bure drama, lived through the Messier years by calling him the 'cranial-cramp-captain', and now I'm thrilled that they seem to have all the right pieces.
Ben - you'd never guess what my nick for you is! Between the Hoth reference (picture Imperial AT-ATs rumbling into view), and the few exchanges we had in a couple of hot topics in the summer (with religious bias) - you're 'Thumper'!

Scratch me behind my ears...
As for my BC roots.
Born in Burnaby BC, lived there for 3 years, moved up north and graduated from high school. Came back down to UBC where I now attend.
My favourite player that I liked was Linden, and before that, Petri Skriko.

Well unless y'all want to come down to Atlanta... where the team actually doesn't suck (well so far ). Though I tell ya, Kovalchuk is gonna be great! Even if Heatley is spending some jail time .
Sad part is that they are doing better than my team (ie, the one on my avatar ).

How Asian, exactly? Will Kariya suffice?
If not, there's always Jim Paek. He's retired, though...
And I think Nabokov's from Kazakstan...
