The Workshop - An initiative we're supporting
A little 'behind the scenes', Humeanist approached the Scenario League a few weeks back with a concept for the League's site, which in essence was;
The creation of (what has been dubbed) a 'Workshop' component that will allow the community to provide assistance to otherwise floundering or stalled yet serious scenario projects. An independent site has been created by Humeanist - please visit for more information; members.aol.com/humeanist/workshop.html
At this point the Scenario League will take a step back and see how the project evolves before moving to graft it officially into the League. In the meantime, we encourage the community to assess and get involved with this initiative.
Already up in the 'Scenarios-in-Progress' section are three files; members.aol.com/humeanist/inprogress.html
Constructive views, comments, criticisms, etc. welcome.

This is a good idea, but I wonder how many people will want to take over projects. First we'll have to admit to ourselves that we'll never get around to finishing it! Maybe I'll send in my Myth files.

It would be nice if they actually have scenarios hat you can playtest. The downside of the arrangement is that untrustworthy people can "steal" the scenario before it is official relased and release it as their own. *sigh*.... well, i guess I'll send in my scenario when I'm done.

The Workshop idea is excellent; pool the obvious talent here to help out in tougher scenarios.
Shadowstrike: If someone does steal a scenario - how long do you think they would last in the Civ community? Who would post that scenario? From what I have seen of the Civ community - there are far too many talented, intelligent, thoughtful, and mature people here to pull a stupid stunt like that one. You should have no fear about that happening to you or anyone.

I believe you can make a start in the 'Scenarios-in-Progress' section at members.aol.com/humeanist/inprogress.html

It's a nice concept, and I think if SLeague gets in-league with it, it can only get better.
