Anyone seen this game yet? I don't know about the gameplay yet - downloading the demo now - but the screenies look awesome.
Due in stores in a little under two weeks.

Yeah... I've been playing the demo for a bit now... Aside from the fact it's in German and so I pretty muc only understand the tutorial - and for missions I have to Alt-Tab to an on-line dictionary - aside from that, I kind of got bored really quickly... The pirates on my ship got disappointed. (I still don't get how to make them happy. From what I can make out, it says that if there's food and alcohol on the ship, their morale will go down at a slower rate. And then to raise it, you have to sink some pirates' ships... Well, that didn't work too well. I sunk a bunch and my Matrossen are still depressed. ) But any way, it seems you are right, a lot like port royale - navigate between ports, trade goods... The screenies looked much better than the real thing.

It's Port Royale 1.5 their also finishing up Port Royale 2, but Tortuga is supposed to be Pory Royale only with more emphasis on the pirating aspect as opposed to the trading and business building aspects.

So it's the same developer and publisher that were behind Port Royale?
Looks like a copy

How surprising! games developers trying to milk a product for all its worth.
I dont think Ill buy this but I do like Port Royale. Funny how its only been out a short while and no 2 is in development.

Its VERY similiar to the original Pirates! with way better graphics and more trade and business options. In addition to outfitting a ship and building it up to a convoy (up to ten ships in a convoy) you can have over 20 different convoys and build business in towns that create the trade cargo.
Tortuga is supposed to concentrate on mission and politics from what I gather.
Port Royale 2 is supposed to allow you to annex and conquer colonies and towns.
