Greatest. Movie. Ever.

Of course, my previous Greatest Movie Ever was Austin Powers III, so take my rating with a grain of salt.

Just saw it... and I loved it. Little substance (boiled down, just a chick-oriented revenge flick), but it's got a whole lotta cool. It starts off strong, with the fight between Uma and Vivica, and end on an interesting note with ramifications for part 2. Lots of blood, but I love that in a film. Still not as gory as "Dead Alive", but what is?

Don't expect another "Pulp Fiction" or "Reservoir Dogs" (my fave Tarantino film), but I think if you watch it without any expectations other than to be entertained, you'll leave the theater happy.

PS: Julie Dreyfus (Sofie Fatale) is beautiful...

Actually that award goes to "Bowling for Columbine" hands down.

Of course, Uma T. does nothing for me and I think she only ever looked good once, stepping off the giant seashell in Terry Gilliam's Baron Munchausen.

But WTF do I know?

There's some schoolgirl skirt action. Otherwise, no. It's all about pulverizing limbs in a sort of poetic motion that's worthy of a Coleridge poem.

Making 2 vol. has only one reason. $18 as opposed to charging $9.

But for twice the work. Surely making 2 parts to this is like anyone making 2 seperate movies. He's put the work in to make two movies worth then why not have it as two movies. I don't want to sit through 3 hours plus trailers for one film, yet cutting it often leaves out interesting bits. Therefore a 2 parter seems the best option. Whats wrong with making two films and charging the same to see each?

I believe that the whole thing was split into two because Harvey Weinstein wanted to hedge his bets and not release a potential 3 hr bomb into the theaters. That's harder to recover from that a 1.5 hr bomb.

There are some funny or interesting bits in Pulp Fiction, so it's a bit above average.

Not a thought provoking film, nor a particularly compelling plot, but very entertaining nonetheless. Thought intersplicing the anime in the middle of the film was a very nice touch.

I actually never watched anime before the 20 minute intersplicing in this film, but I thought it was well done.

Nothing anymore. From what I've heard, they moved the scene that used to run after the credits to the end of the movie, so people wouldn't miss it.

I just saw Kill Bill tonight and it was a very entertaining film. Don't expect much in the way of plot and you won't be disappointed. As a kung Fu movie it works but I think the movie isn't very realistic at all and if a proffessional really wanted to assassinate someone I doubt they'd use a sword. It seems like a few well placed claymores could wipe out a bunch of people fast and leave less evidience (All that blood and finger prints Uma kept leaving behind has to make the police's job of finding the killer easy). Heck, if you wanted to be more surgical and leave less of a mess then a sniper with a high powered rifle would be the way to go since just by waiting long enough you'll eventually get a clear shot.

My favorite character simply has to be the psycho Japanese school girl. I just find her look and style to be so sexy.
