Story Contest Round 19: Nominations
Well, since DarkCloud seems to have gone missing, I figured I'd substitute for him this time around - I feel it is time for the next nominations thread, since the activity seems to be increasing around here. I'll also try to keep up with DC's style.
So, nominate away! Keep in mind the following rules:
- To be nominated, a story needs to be finished
- One can nominate his or her own creation
- A story must be seconded to move to the next round
- As always, eight slots for the stories per round
The nominated stories below will appear in regular print, while those that have been seconded - in bold.
Let the next Story Contest round begin!
----- The Nominees -----
The Barbarossa Incident by Solomwi
The End Of Honour by jackl
Who Can Stop the Winds of Change? by unscratchedfoot
--------------------------
There are 5 spots left.
Nominate your favourite tale today.

I am not sure if it's finished yet... Won't we get to see Operation Barbarossa in action?

Wow, thanks, NM.
To clarify... yes, it's finished. Right now I'm posting while my automated workers clean up the pollution in 1750, two turns after the incident actually happened. Operation Barbarossa is still in the initial planning stages, but there may have to be a sequel when it actually comes to pass.

And he has to file taxes, and you're gonna audit the poor son of a ***** because he's not really good at math. You pull the IRS van up to his house and take everything. You take his velvet Elvis and his toothbrush and his penis pump and that all goes up for auction with the burden of proof on you because you forgot to carry the 1. All because you wanted to eat a fish, and you couldn't even cook the fish because you need a permit for an open flame."

"The End Of Honour" By jackl
Id like to nominate Scratchy's "The winds of change" but he does'nt normally let his stories in the contests, however if he changes his mind consider this a nomination
and Ill third Solomwi's "The Barbarosa incident", brilliant first story, may there be many more from you.

I definitely second "The End of Honour".
This forum can give an author a big head in a hurry.

And after reading the end, if scratch lets "Winds of Change" be nominated, it's got a second. Hilarious!

Well, DC doesn't frequent these here boards it seems, so I've updated the first post here. But further nominations should probably be done in DC's thread here: http://www.apolyton.net/forums/showt...52#post2404052
