Sun Tsu is interesting, but not such a necessity.(cavalry will be more dammaging )

The Greek will come.
If we want to take Pharsalos now we will need a lot of gold to keep the city ours.(gold that might have beter use in other places)

Wow - all those times when our tech rate improved;was that only from a massive increase of trade?

Well it certainly wasn't from any trading we did!

Other civs, maybe, but we have strength of numbers now and that will be enough to see us through to the end. Could someone tell me who's got Leo's? That'd be useful, although we're never going to be ahead in tech.
How many settlers have we got in various areas? I'm thinking of having enough to hide in a fortress outside an enemy city, then build the railroad to connect to that city before moving the cannons in. Would this plan be viable? Are there suitably-positioned fortresses that could be used, or would you just prefer to bulldoze their cities with a mix of troops?

Yeah, I realised what a dumb question that was shortly after posting it.

Yeah, but what was the question you asked when they told you that?

Have you already discussed having a reference thread, so that players who are not in the habit of downloading the game, and casual observers, can check on how things are progressing. Maybe displaying the Top 5 cities, wonders of the world and demographics in a separate thread, updating after each turn and also including a list of who is in the cabinet for each term.

This is my long-winded way of asking whether we can have a list of who has which wonders.

Why do you think I have so many posts plugging railroad construction? It's that important to our future success. Nice to see the screenshots up.

So let's keep cranking out the engineers and Railroads.

I second that. We should build more engineers and railroads.

Yes, send existing Engrs to the RR backbone. Build more Engrs to fill out the road networks around our productive cities, especially in the river net.

Do we really need to have engineers building a RR to doom, plague and petilence? none of these cities are producing troops at this time, and the cities are out of the way, perhaps we should allow these cities to creat their own engineers and allow the one's we have currently working their way north to work on the mainline instead

Also, I think it might be a good idea to run a road and then RR due south from Detriot, it would lead us to the rest of the Americans and into the heart of Germany. Most of it appears to be grassland as well, providing for quick construction instead of humping numerous mountain ranges to the east where we are attacking the zulus

I've also have a problem with some of the routes built for our RR, like this one pictured, it would have been much faster to build the RR over the tundra instead of going over the mountain, there are a few other cases of this as well, but this one shows the point i'm trying to make.

I don't have the save anymore, but I would bet that bribing all those heavily rivered US cities was what helped our tech rate. We've been growing a lot.

Even going through the forest would have been better than the mountain! Are the settlers on auto here? I suppose that at least we have a charged settler here that we could move to a square where we really will need to build over a hill or mountain, but the road has already been built.

I'll have a stern word with the Engineer in charge of that portion of the network!
