Germans bribe Rammstein!
Where shall we direct our diplomats first?

At the greedy Greeks sprawled across the map with 33 cities, or the glowering Germans and their Chapel? The Germans have over 6K gold at this point, while the Greeks have 300.

I want you to rank each country in terms of 'attack' potential, so vote for the one you wish to attack most.

The Americans are down to 7 cities, and are now in a Democracy, preventing further citybribery. The Zulus have 10, and have finally overtaken the Yanks on the powergraph.

I suggest the Greeks and Zulus since their cash totals are low, and they have smaller cities, but what say the people?

I think we had better focus on eliminating one entire civ at a time or a couple remaining cities will keep establishing new ones and trading techs to keep up. But I agree that the poorest civs make the best bribing targets.

Lets finish off the Americans, we could attack the Zulus while doing this. Then move on to the Greeks, saveing the germans to face the wrath of our giant war machine. By that time we should have near 100 cities.

Bah... let the Germans have Rammstein... I'm sick of hearing that song they play there anyway

The Greeks have many cities, but their weakness is their lack of cash. Thus, bribery should be used against them - and perhaps the Zulus as well.

We have a lot of cities close to the Americans' cities - build some rails, or forts, or both, and blitz them with Cannons/Dragoons to knock them out of the game. After we finish them off, we can do the same to the Germans... and if we give the Germans some time, they will do the railroading work for us

Bribing the Greeks takes the least prepwork, so we can do that first... then the Americans.

Our Foreign Minister correctly asks who we should bribe, and indeed this is a question for the populace. However, what he does not ask us....and should....is who do we attack with our armies? Our Minister of War has proposed a number of different attack strategies for the different Empires who oppose us, but does the Foreign Minister propose that we attempt all of these attacks, and war with all others at once? I hope we attack a single opponent or two opponents at most, defend against the others, but what say the people, and what says the Foreign Minister?

I want to gage the relative importance of each nation WRT bribery.

This way I can tell cavebear to focus on the Zulus, to build more diplomats, etc. As for military plans, that's up to shade how we will conduct an invasion. I just help him with his well-dressed escorts.

We are currently at war with everyone but the Russians. That's the only part I can control, whether we want to sign a ceasefire, or to remain at war. Where we decide to direct our forces falls under the heading of the SMC.

Edit:

For whatever it is worth, we aren't at war with the Russians.

It's not worth a lot, I assure you.

Perhaps angered by their defeating me in the OCC2, I want to see the Germans suffer. The Civ equivalent of crawling over the line for a touchdown, I want Berlin taken by the worst unit we have - even if we have to bribe a warrior to do this!
