yeah, when the Khmer Rouge took power and then the Vietnamese went and invaded. I know it's not going to be another Vietnam War scenario (especially if a guy from Vietnam is doing it).

Yes Fast_Eddie, you have guessed it right. It is the Third Indochina war. It will be not exactly accurate historywise because after you (as the Vietnamese) invade Cambodia you will have to fend off the incrediblely larger forces of the Chinese for a month then you will have a couple of months of peace before an all-out war...Remember to watch your rear because Thailand and just mabye Laos might betray you...
Yeah the scenario is pretty much that. After the all-out war either you have conquered southern china or signed a peace treaty, you will have to stabalize your country mainly rebuild your economy and modernize your military because either way China won't stop coming...
Indeed you are right Fast_eddie on your second point too, the Second Indochina war is a sore point...
DarthVeda could you send me your map? thanks

Oh yeah, I'm just that good.
I thought for awhile about doing a scenario exactly like that, but I never did quite get around to it. I even started on a map, but only got the coastlines in, and a few of the mountains. If you want it I'll send that to you (I find it much better than the one Leo linked).
It's not very large, but it has a little piece of southern China, all of Vietnam, all of Cambodia, most of Laos (missing a bit off the top) and the eastern half of Thailand (cuts off at Bangkok).
