Story Contest Round 19: Nominations
Here's the Round 19 Nominations thread!
-
Please feel free to nominate away!
Remember you CAN nominate or second your own story.
But it MUST be finished. (we are working on developing that rule, however, so hold tight- further details on that rule will be shown later in the thread)
*The reward is a discount at the Apolyton Store!
*Stories which are seconded will be bolded; and a story must be seconded to move into the Semifinals.
*Remember, to advance; a story must be nominated, then seconded... authors CAN nominate their own works
*Only 8 can advance to the quarterfinals
So- Let the Stories begin!
Good luck!
The Nominees
The End of Honour... by Jackl
The Barbarossa Incident by Solomwi
Who Can Stop the Winds of Change? by unscratchedfoot
"For His Daughter"... by Philosphy
"Sic Semper Tyrannis"... by Solomwi
People of the Valley" by Paddy the Scot
"Failure is their Salvation" by Shogun Gunner
"The Fight For Freedom" by Paddy the Scot
THERE IS ONLY 1 SPOTS REMAINING

Alrightie... You, my friend seem to have gone missing again.
Any way, here are the stories that have been nominated and/or seconded in the thread I started when I thought you'd abandoned us:
The Barbarossa Incident by Solomwi
The End Of Honour by jackl
Who Can Stop the Winds of Change? by unscratchedfoot
They have all been seconded, though there is still the question of whether Scratchy will allow his story to participate in the contest. (I, personally, think he should, for it would definitely win my vote. It has been one of my favourite stories of his, and now that it is completed, I think it is one awesome piece of writing!)

So much so that you didn't even bother to copy the code I already made for you into the first post? That's equivalent to missing as far as I'm concerned.

I'm sorry, but I can't copy the code- I have mod powers only to move and delete threads- I can't edit individual posts.

Thanks for updating the list, DC. By the way, I see you couldn't find a link for "For his Daughter", eh? Here it is:
http://www.apolyton.net/forums/showt...01#post2404601
Also, there are four more spots left, not five.

Okay, fixed everything except for the 4/5 thing
Thank you for the link (I would have eventually fixed it when the next round came up... but I appreciate the initiative)

hmmm...
I shall have to return, if only to write a new story and capture the contest, something that I've never managed before.
Yeah... or maybe I'll loose interest and dissapear.
Ahh well, either way, its in the hands of fate.

Hehe. Good to see you back, SKI. Hope you'll write something for us soon... It's been getting quiet lately, and I was beginning to miss your writing.

I'll slam that with a second.

And, by the way, Unrelated Matters is not my story contest Rainmaker. Its only for fun, I believe that a well written humor piece has a good chance here, but I would rather be remembered for something more serious.

"Where is... everyone?"
SKILORD looked about him, the deserted wasteland disgusts him and he is afraid.
The Empire lays crumbled here, and he is afraid, he yet haunts the ruins, but he is almost alone.
Where next? he asks, the wind offers no reply but the arrogant dust that beats against the once proud forum.
Cracked walkways, hollow homes, and the ghosts.
And we remain, among the ghosts, asking them, 'Where next?'
-
As I've said, I don't know where else to post my stories, so I lurk here yet. Where is everyone?
