Conquests and upgrades

I haven't played Civ3 for a while now, but am looking forward to dusting the CD off when the Conquests pack is released. Will I need to upgrade to the latest civ3 patch before installing Conquests, or will the upgrades be part of the conquests pack? (the old narrowband modem takes longer than the fall of rome to download an upgrade, so i don't want to use unnecessary phone time).

Most likely you will just need to install Conquests. No patches necessary (until they start patching Conquests, of course).
