Too much to be feasable in anything other than an emergency (like seeing a PEACE cruiser outside the base) IMHO.

Shurly thats the cost BEFORE prototyping?! After Protyping it comes down a lot right? I was not sugjesting that we upgrade to an unprototyped unit, I ment we prototype 1 Plasma Garrison and then upgrade.
In any event its probly something we would only do in an emergency so we should figure out how much it costs and try to always keep that much on hand incase a base is suddenly attacked.

It may be before, it may be after. We can see when we have prototyped the first one. It will be a lot though, I think.

Right - my mistake (I hit the "Apply" in my litle scenario, but didn't hit "Proto")
It costs just 40 ec's to upgrade from 1-1-1 to 1-3-1

40 ec's is certainly worth it in certain cases. (i.e. Peace attack squads unloading on our coast )

We should cover our coastline with signs indicating the direction to the nearest tavern, all of which point towards the mindworm habitats.

Also, no, they don't gain morale when we switch out later.

Ah, didn't know that.

Possibly. We need to do it while remaining treatied IMHO, and unseen.

The method of first hiding in the fungus patch at (62.68) and then moving to Alexandria the next turn could keep our attempts hidden. I'll have to check it.

That should work, and seems like agood idea. However I think the switch out of wealth is needed. It would be illogical to launch a war with very green troops IMHO.

I agree: 40 EC's and -1 econ/industry are not a small price to pay, but if we even more need that morale...

Are we agreed of the need to go to Wealth in 2146, or does it need polling?

ok i have an idea...we can sell Doc: ini too 2 AI factions in one turn for a total of 50 Ec...this would mean we can get nonlmath this turn...just an idea...i say sell them to them both so that they cant sell to eachother....but i dont no if they have met but we only need 17 more Ec to get it this turn....

They have indeed met... they're permapacted, IIRC.
That, however, would be a very good idea. It will get us an extra 50ec, and the prices the AI charges are exorbitant. Any sane human faction will come to either us or PEACE, and we can try to undercut PEACE in any circumstance. Plus, we can switch out of this horribly inefficient 80-0-20.

I agree completely And yes, it will remove us fromthe 80-0-20, which will be nice, but that was only short-term anyway

I know, but the sooner we get out the better.
Alright... it's agreed we'll sell Doc:Init to both AIs this turn?

Yes, I've noticed that, and then only if we accept her first offer (she won't take it if you offer it later).

Wow... Roze just asked me for IndAuto... I'll try asking her first.
I've checked again, and Roze only asks me for IndAuto, regardless of when I ask in the turn.

Contact Roze. She'll ask for Ind Auto. Ask for 25 ec's and she pays.
Then "urgently need energy credits" and she'll offer 25 ec's for HEC but if you instead offer Doc Init she'll accept that instead for 25 ec's (and you can sell HEC at a later date)
Now contact Miriam - she'll ask for Doc Init, so ask her for 25 ec's
Now ask her to acccess her research data, and offer ec's, and she'll offer Nonlinear math for 150
So you're left with a net 50 ec's gain after all that

Here's the saved turn in mid game (I just exited the diplobox without doing anuthing, so that offer is still on the table)
No units moved or bases/builds looked at - just the AI dipolomacy
You now have Nonlinear Math, and have sold Doc Init to both Roze and Miriam, and have also sold Ind Auto to Roze (all 3 for 25 ec's each)
The midturn save is: here
