I wish to announce that peace is at hand. I, Beta of the Germanic Nation, hereby do pledge to return the city of Antium to its rightful owners, the Empire of Rome, upon Rome's return of two cities to the Egyptians.
Save to jshelr.

I think it must be with Jshelr. I've sent him an email, but in the meantime, maybe beta can send the save again.

There are two versions of alcohol software. Alcohol 40 allows you use virtual cd drives and to make images of virtually any cd since it can read and emulate the copy protection. Alcohol 120 also allows you to burn cd's from the images. They are available for download.
The game/software companies hate these types of products cos they can easily be used for piracy. OTOH they can also be legitimately by someone who owns a game and doesnt want to have a disk in cd or dvd drive.

They're good products, well worth their price. Plus they have a fully functional demo that works for two weeks. The only (slight) down side is that I did not find it 'intuitive' to use. Once you've gone step by step through a function using the manual it becomes easy to use though.
You may also need another piece of software called clonyxxL ( I think its freeware) that detects what kind of copy protection is on the CD. I think alcohol detects it as well but it doesnt hurt to have confirmation.
Some types of copy protection (I think PtW for example) require that the disk be physically mapped and that can take a while to perform even for a fast CPU so dont start that process if you need to use the PC.
