No War Add-on?
Hello!
I hope this is the right forum... I don't usually post here :P
Is there a No war addon? I mean, an Add-on that in some way prevents war from being declared to you. Like in Chieftain, you declare war to them if you want, but they don't declare it to you
Thanks you!
P.S. I posted this in civfanatics too, I hope it isn't a problem

The Conquests expansion has been shown to have adjustable AI agression. While it isn't "No War" it will probabaly lessen the chance the AI will attack you first.

Just go into the editor and shift all the Civ aggression levels down as far as they'll go

I've already done that. I'll explain:
I started a TETurkhan map. In 1990 BC the turks declared war to me... and I don't like it. I don't want war to be declared to me. I modified teturkhan.bix , shifting aggresion levels down to zero. But they still attack me the turn after 1990BC...

Changing a bix only effects new games.

I've always thought that on the lowest agression setting the AI should never declare war, just retaliate of course.

Are you sure that setting the AI agression to the minimum they won't declare war to you? Completely sure? Thanks,

Not sure at all. France and India (most peaceful Civs) often declare war to AI civs in my games. Besides, they can join an alliance against you, if you don't isolate your foe enough.

They still will. Otherwise the India and France would never attack and they do.
The AI will attack if they think they are a lot stronger than you or if you've ticked them off (aggressive teams get ticked off easier).

India is the sneakiest nation in the game...I can't count the number of times they've sneak attacked me for no good reason, piling all they've got across the border in one turn. Once they even did it while we had a right of passage and about five trades going. They just pretend to be peaceful so they can stab you in the back. Never trust the AI it will always (no matter how peaceful) declare war at some point. You have been warned!

Oh. So until a No War Addon is developped, I'll have to play Chieftain... That option in Conquests, is it more explained somewhere?

Oh, I didn't mean to suggest that this is how it works, I was only saying that I think there should be a lowest setting whereby the AI won't launch an offensive war.

Playing Civ3 without war is like playing Smackdown without the wrestling.

David Murray:
I don't think so. Besides, I don't play without war. When I think I'm prepared, I attack the weak ones I just don't like they declaring war to me... I normally don't produce much defense, I focus on economy, techs, etc.
