As you probably know, the US just tended to paint their AFVs olive drab and the UK a darker green; they very rarely used camo. The UK did use so-called 'mickey mouse' camo (black circular pattern like the aforementioned cartoon rodent's ears) on a dark green base for soft-skinned vehicles. They mostly used just plain green on their tanks.
Germany used a variety of camo patterns from I think early 43 onwards; before then they painted their tanks grey. From '43 onwards all vehicles were painted a dark sand yellow with many different camo patterns, usually including dark green and red-brown as the main colours painted over the yellow base.
Check out the camo pattern technique and colours Catfish used on a Panther and JagdPanther; these are very nicely done and are good representations of the real thing.
