Think you're good with all the worlds known religions/beliefs?
Well, I need your help then.
I want to know the major beleifs/religions that have ever existed, even 'stupid' ones that cavemen would have come up with. (The sun is God for example).
Also, I need a brief description of each belief/religion.
eg: Christianity: God the creator of all and his son the saviour.
That's it, no detail, no complex depth, just an extremely unbiased and small definition. And notice I did not use Jesus' name, it must be the same with other religions that I hope any of you guys can come up with.
Think of some that might appear in the future too, I know this is stupid and won't be a real thing, but for example Matrix Theory might become a future belief.
Thanks for your help if you can come with any!

No.
Judaism: Jesus wasn't the Messiah
Islam: "death to the infidels!"
Buddhism: the fat dude says "chill"
Hinduism: "don't harm the cows"

Ancient Greek - human-like immortal gods ruling the world, with hiperbolated human abilities.
Ancient Egyptian - zoomorphic gods have started the Egyptian civilization and have, at a time, ruled over them.
Judaism - one God who created eerything and everyone.

Overview only, sn00py. Otherwise this site is not all that helpful. Go to religion specific sites if you want a more accurate and indepth portrayal.

I have a T-Shirt that summerizes world religions pretty quick.
Judiasm: Why does this sh!t always happen to me?
Protestantism: sh!t won't happen if I work harder.
Jehovah's Witness: Knock, knock, sh!t happens."
Islam: If sh!t happens, take a hostage.
etc.

Zoroastrianism: One good (Zoroaster/Zarathustra) and one devil (Ahura Mazda). Epic battle of good vs. evil.
Let's all become Zoroastrians!

I'll add some more obscure ancient ones:
Sumerian Polytheism: Anthropomorphic gods, not omnipotent or immortal, all in the same family, the sky god rules them all.
Babylonian Polytheism: The Sumerian gods are all present with different names, and a new god, the patron god of the city of Babylon rules all.
Minoan Polytheism: Anthropomorphic female goddesses, nature is their domain.

I am pretty sure they wouldn't have believed in fat armless goddesses (or Fat Armless Goddess), but that's pretty much the only theory with a shred of evidence to it.
Define "human". What do chimps believe in?

I'm trying to find out what the very basic human would have believed in.
Like The Aztecs, what did they believe in? What about the African tribes, what were their beliefs? American Indians, etc, that sort of thing

There's several weird Japanese religions, although I've never heard of this one. I only know about Aum Shinrikyo and Tenrikyo. I live pretty close to the worldwide headquarters of Tenrikyo, actually. Maybe I should check it out...

The Cult of the Cave Bear theory turned out to be a lot of hot air and lousy evidence, so we really have no idea.

You are out luck, because there's no way of finding out.

Like The Aztecs, what did they believe in?
|
Aztecs and, more so, MesoAmericans in general had stable agricultural and urban societies.
Fairly polytheistic. Aztecs emphasized human sacrifice in order to prevent armageddon.
Unfortunately, they failed, and the Bruce Willis movie did manage to come out.

What about the African tribes, what were their beliefs?
|
Diverse. Africa's a fairly large continent. It encompasses and encompassed nomadic cultures, agricultural cultures, and urban cultures.
Generally polytheistic.
