Elise Game Recap

More late game heroics, as Elise narrowly wins a game that looks like Quackle's in the middle game. Elise (at least in this version) does not do an exhaustive search for the optimal move with 1 tile left in the bag, but its simulation can accomplish roughly the same thing if it runs long enough, and that comes into play here. With IF 3I, Elise gambles that Quackle has the Q, giving Elise a winning move path. (Basically any move that plays more than one tile, or allows a play with the Q, is a losing move here.)

TWO G12 hopes to open the triple-word line, perhaps for a possible bingo out; when one strong player is well behind in the late game you often see moves like this.
