Worlds From Words
Language is nothing without its ability to convey feeling. How wonderful it is, that
reading the works of a poet who lived centuries ago, we can see preserved over the years
not only the thoughts spilling through his head, but also his feelings and his mood -
we can assay not only his trains of thought, but his state of well-being. Although
instant communication, and many forms of art and expression, belong only to our modern times,
the ability to render these thought-pictures of our soul has been around for ages. That is the
miraculous power of language, of art, and of poetry.
