This is a collection of fast (real-time) NetHack 3.4.3 ascensions, from NAO and other public servers. In each case (with the exception of the YouTube links, which are videos) the entire game has been made into a single .ttyrec file for easy watching. The time listed is the time from the beginning of the .ttyrec to the moment of #offering, as recorded by the ttyconcat application. The ttyconcat logs are also provided, giving detailed information about the game.
Some of these speed-runs exhibit unusual early luck (I've noted early wands of wishing, etc.) and some use risky meta-strategies (protection racket, dig for victory). I've also noted the games that use 3 or fewer wishes, or that keep more difficult conducts. Generally the fastest games require both unusual skill and unusual luck, but I think Adeon's numerous speed-runs have proved that it doesn't require extreme luck or extreme risk to ascend a Valkyrie in under two hours, and other roles in three. (That said, most of the ascensions under three hours have been Valkyries or other combat classes.)
