Statement of Belief
* * * * * * *
It is the belief of this writer that there is to be a progression in the
spiritual belief and maturing of the individual believer. This progress is
to be much the same as can be evidenced by type or image in the growth and
maturing of the natural in a human being. The author will list 10 of his
beliefs that will represent the 10 workings of the hands of God in the life
of an individual. This is to say that 10 x 7 will equal the 70 years that
today seems to be the general average age of the mature adult that is
possibly referred to in Psalms 90:10:
THE DAYS OF OUR YEARS are THREESCORE YEARS AND
TEN;....
I believe:
1. That the One True God calls to repentance the individual in the ear of the
individual. God is One. This is identified from the One voice that calls
to repentance. God has one body of mass. Just as his image (man) has one
body of mass. The Father and The Son are One. The Holy Spirit is The Father
which is both Holy and Spirit. That he created all that is, not only in my
life but the universe, by Logos.
2. That the newborn believer must recognize their ability and repent of
their own ways that are generated from their heart which is evil continally.
They must grow in Christ wrapped in his righteousness. That as a
child stumbles and falls they will as well but must rise in Christ and
continue to walk in him.
3. That the righteous narrow way to walk in Christ is 180 degrees in
variance to the unrighteous wide way that is walked by those in the
world. The directions or schooling for the narrow way is learned by reading
the Word of God. This is required to be done by each individual believer.
To not do this is to not be educated and able to walk the narrow way of life
as an adult properly getting the best out of life.
4. That just as a person enters the world seeking a mate, each believer it to
go into the world speaking of the Word of God. This is to be done where ever
we are, in the home, in the faraway country and all in between. This is not
to be generic as God bless, how is your family or to be just happy thoughts
about things in general. The conversation is to be about the words and
commands written in the Word of God. This is an effort in sharing that
will help each other to observe them accurately according to the Word.
5. That in the effort put forth to share accurately the Word of God the
Word will not return void as the scripture tells us. Those seeking a mate
will find one in due season. The scripture shared by word of mouth will
cause the person to become more aware and full of Christ. The sharing will
cause one to return to the Word for accuracy thereby putting on the Mind of
Christ as the Word commands us to do. We find our husbandman or bridegroom
learning to love more his words each day. At first we see him from a
distance or at the surface level but even here we will recognize that he is
the one for us.
6. That God is a comfort to those that love and obey him. That he interacts
in the personal lives of those that believe on him. That this interaction
coupled with the reading of the Word of God will cause life to be full and
rewarding for his that are traveling on the narrow way. That he answers the
requests of those that call upon his name that are diligently seeking him in
feverency. That the nature of our King becomes clearer as we see deeper into
the things written in the Word.
7. That the greater the relationship builds between the individual and God
the more the things of this world become distant. That the things made of
hands out of stone, wood, etc are to be seen for what they can become as
idols causing one to look away to from God and should be watched with a
careful eye. One must accept that temptation will challenge every man but
God will make a way thru the temptation for victory and his glory. That the
things unseen (love, hope, caring, etc) are of greater value than the
things that are seen.
8. That with the measure that one gives one will receive. That to give is
better than to receive. That as a maturing believer the individual will take
on the character of God and will be a helper of men rather than a taker
from men. That one will forgive his debtors and his enemies. All giving and
nuturing to be done in Christ with out exception for his glory and by his
ability.
9. That there is a rest or abiding place to be found in Christ. A place where
one does not cease from searching the heart of God in the Word of God. A
place rather of rest where the cares of life are relegated to a place of
secondary importance when compared to things of the kingdom of heaven. A
place of abiding in Christ where one will give thanks for all things. A place
where it is excepted that all things work together for good to them that
love God.
10. That the end of the journey on the narrow way leads to great reward for
those that overcome in the Word of God. That this end whether by death or
by the change in the twinkling of an eye will be filled with Jesus Christ. That
according to the will of the Father the Son of God will return with those
that are his to establish the kingdom of heaven upon earth in fullness
one day soon. That the King of kings with the saints will have perfect bodies as was
seen of Jesus after his resurrection. That the future in store for the Sons of
God is beyond the ability of men today to comprehend for the goodness that
is instore for them.
This is the hope of glory in Christ Jesus for those redeemed by
his blood.
