He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather; for the sky is red.
And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day; for the sky is red and lowring, O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times? A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall be no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed. Matthew 16:1-4
And while they looked steadfast toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. Acts1:9-11
He told them that the morning would be upon them when the red and clouds could be seen.
In Matthew 16:3 the word lowring is used. This word looked up in the Strong's Concordance (sc) is # 4768. It means in greek to render gloomy, be overcast with clouds.
This situation of the cloud in the morning was to happen just as a type from Jonah's experience.
Jonah's experience was with a large sea creature and he was rejected by this creature on the third day.
Christ gave us all the clues necessary for even the hypocrites to be able to tell the time of the end of this age.
The two men in white apparel told those standing by when Christ was taken in a cloud to not be searching the sky for the cloud.
Christ rose from death on the third day just a Jonah was rejected by the sea beast on the third day.
Was the type of Jonah to stop here with the resurrection of Christ?
Hosea 6:2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night. Psalms 90:4
A 1000 years of man is equal to a day with God. Therefore we find ourselves today at the very end of the 2nd day. or 2000 years since Christ came to the earth at his first advent.
Man has been keeping time since that first advent using Christ as the starting point for their own calculation of the two days.
The scripture tells us of the condition of man during these two days
Yea, though he live a thousand years twice told, yet hath he seen no good: do not all go to one place? Ecclesiates 6:6 Concerning seeing this good the scripture tells us the following.
...there is none good but one, that is, God:... Matthew 19:17
Man could not see good for the last 2000 years for he was in heaven. Christ will soon on the morning of the 3rd Day return to earth. We will all see good then.
As of this article, July 1, 1998 the 3rd Day January 1, 2000 is only 548 days away.
With God that is only 2.2 minutes from now.
And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
It was a great sea creature that swallowed up Jonah.
The only great sea creature that the Bible talkes about in detail is seen in the book of Job.
Cans't thou draw out leviathan with a hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down? Job 41:1
The arrow cannot make him flee: slingstones are turned with him into stubble.
Darts are counted as stubble: he laugheth at the shaking of a spear. Job 41:28-29
He is able to laugh at things that would hurt a man for he is not a man he is a system.
He is a system made up of corrupt men that is unlike anything else upon the earth.
Upon the earth there is not his like, who is made without fear. Job 41:33
These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, ...Jude 12
The sea or water of Revelation from whom the 1st Beast is given life is described in Revelation 17:15 And he saith unto me, the waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
Here we are at the morning of the 3rd Day and the only system that has arisen from the multitude of nations is known as the United Nations. The first rider of Revelation is upon a white horse. The equipment of the United Nations is all painted white.

What other pieces of the puzzle can we find?
Here at the close of the 2nd day we have only to look at the news and we see the Red of the new 3rd day being spoken of.
At present President Clinton is on an unprecidented trip to China. He is celebrating the arrival of the New Millinneum and the expected co-operation between China and the United States.
This partnership with China is to bring about a better economy to all those involved.
This is the same kind of dialogue that for the last decade the United States has had with another former enemy Russia.
Both Russia and China once fully engaged as economic partners are to bring about growth and stability in the next millinneum.
This all while the individual powers of all countries are quickly being given over to the United Nations.
We have already seen how that all three pieces of the puzzle are presently before us.
We are at the 3rd Day with a beast system in place while two major red communist countries dominate the headlines.
We have seen how the corrupt men are spoken of in the Word as clouds. The 2 men who spoke at the time of Christ's ascension into heaven ask Why stand ye gazing up into heaven?
If we are not to look for the cloud in the heavens then the only other place is to look on the earth.
The word cloud seen in the account of Noah is found in the Strong's Concordance #6051.
In Hebrew it means cloud or thunder-cloud from #6049 to cover, cloud over, or act covertly, practice magic, etc.
