  • Landmarks pointing to the year 2000

This article looks for those numerical values within the landmarks of the Bible that will be year 2000 oriented.

The walls of the New Jerusalem listed in Revelation 21:16 are 12,000 furlongs long on each side. The city is described as a square.

The fact that the New Jerusalem is square is worth discussing. Why a square? Any other shape would not suggest the intervention of an intelectual being.

A square is the only shape that does not exist in nature. We have the shape of the honeycomb of the bee, the design of the web, the meander of the river, the circle of the bubble, the ripple on the water, etc. but no square.

It takes intelligence to make a square. The shape of the New Jerusalem is not mearly that of a building but tells us to look for the intelligence hidden within.

Men today hurry to change the measurement into common day equivalents and by doing so they then miss what is being said.

If we keep and use the 12,000 furlong figure we find important information.

    There are 4 walls each 12,000 furlongs long. 4 x 12,000 = 48,000.

48,000 is the same as 48 x 1000. It can also be stated as 48 x 1000. Looking closely at these different expressions of the total expressed dimmension of the 4 walls we can glean more information.

What do we know about 1000 as it relates to the Word of God?

Peter writes, But beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. II Peter 3:8.

Moses writes in the Psalms, For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night. Psalms 90:4.

What we see when we take the last two scriptures into account is that 48 x 1000 can actually be interpreted 48 x day. We know that 48 is 2 x 24 and that there are 24 hours in one day. 48 hours equals 2 days.

Hidden within the 48,000 furlong walls is the intrepretation of the perameters within which the New Jerusalem will come. 2 x day or 2 days of God or within 2000 years of man.

The possibility of the Kingdom of Christ being established on the earth in the year 2000 is hidden within the 12,000 furlong walls . A wall is used to prevent those who should not enter out and to protect those who are inside.

The priest and kings (Rev.1:6) of God will be allowed to enter the New Jerusalem.

Eleazar (Greek = Lazarus) was brought in and set up as the righteous priesthood in Leviticus 10:6. It was from Eleazar that Zadok became a priest unto God. Zadok meaning righteous in Hebrew. We see the potential for the priesthood after the order of Melchizedek to be restablished within the New Jerusalem by the year 2000.

As mentioned above Lazarus is the Greek for the Hebrew name Eleazar. Why did Jesus resurrect a man named Lazarus? It was for the dual witness that he can raise the dead and that he will also raise again the priesthood of Eleazar.

We see in John chapter 11 the account of the death and resurrection of Lazarus. It is here that we see that Jesus waited 2 days (11:6) while Lazarus was sick and taught about the hours in a day (11:9). We finally see that Lazarus was dead in the tomb 4 days (11:17). What we can see here is that the priesthood is resurrected at the end of 6 days. It has been 6000 years or 6 days of God since the fall of Adam.

Another interesting hidden bit of information is that Jerusalem was 15 furlongs from Bethany where Lazarus was dead 4 days. Multiplying these 2 figures of 15 x 4 we get 60. The Jewish year 5760 ends September 29, 2000.

The verse of the Bible where Eleazar is set up as priest is the 100th chapter of the Bible. Does this 100 indicated the close of this century and the 2nd day (2000 years) since Christ was born? The perameters established by the walls having been completed.

We know that the covenant keeper Abraham was 100 years old when his righteous son Isaac, thru who Christ was to come, was born. Does this also indicate the close of this century when the righteous sons of God will enter his kingdom?

Landmarks and the Jewish Year 5760

The Jewish year 5760 begins September 10, 1999 and ends on September 29, 2000.

We saw in the last study that the resurrection of Lazarus and the events surrounding tie in with the establisment of the Millennium Priesthood.

Lazarus is first mentioned in Luke 16 the 60th chapter of the New Testament. It is here that the parable of the richman and Lazarus is told. This parable gives us the understanding of the judgements and rewards of mankind. Will 5760 be the actual event of the parable.

The Song of Moses sung by the overcomers in Revelation 15:3 begins in Det.32:1 the 5760th verse of the Bible. This song is sung after the overcoming is completed and is sung within the kingdom.

The walls of the New Jerusalem which we saw earlier at 48,000 furlongs points to the 2 days, the 2000th year or in 5760 for its resting on the earth.

The walls thickness as well length are described in Revelation 21:17. They are 144 cubits thick. 4 walls x 144 thick = 576 and if we just simply add a zero we have 5760 or again 2000.

The 144 cubits certainly are suggestive of the 144,000 to be sealed in Revelation chapter 7. Are the 144,000 the strength of the walls of the New Jerusalem?

Within the Throne room of God are 24 elders sitting on 24 seats. When we multiply these two figures we get 576 once more (24 x 24 =576). Adding the zero again we have 5760 or the year 2000.

The question How Long is asked in Revelation 6:10. This is a question asked by the saints of Father. This is the last time that this question, how long, is asked in the Bible.

How Long is asked 60 times (as in 5760) total in the Bible. Could the answer to the question how long be found in the landmark number of times that it is asked throughout the Bible? Maybe!!
