What does the scripture tell us about witnesses?
At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy
of death be put to death;...(Det.17:6)
...at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall
the matter be established. (Det.19:15)
But if he will not hear (thee), (then) take with thee one or two more, that in
the mouth of two or three witness every word may be established.
(Mat.18:16)
The facts of a matter are established and settled once and for all by the words of two witnesses.
The 2 Witnesses are the WORDS or the dual witness to the fact of who Father really is.
...At the last came two false witnesses,
And said, This (fellow) said, I am able to destroy the temple of God,and to
build it in three days
By the false testimony of two people the decession was made
...He is guilty of death. (Mat.26:66)
The verse in which the Jewish leaders proclaimed Jesus guily of death is Matthew 26:66 or 2=666. The false words of two bring DEATH for his number is 666.
When we know that the words of 2 bring death then the opposite of that statement is likely to be true. The proof of this statement is required for the statement to be true. The proof will require the words of 2 witnesses.
This is where the problem begins for most to rightly divide the Word of God in this matter.
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive (I Cor.15:22).
How many was present when Father pronounced the sentence in the Garden of Eden? Only 2, Adam and Eve were present and their words secured their judgment. The words of both Adam and Eve were misleading and false.
Father required the words of Two Witnesses to pronounce death. He also requires the words of Two Witnesses to pronounce LIFE.
They are the WORDS of the Old Testament and the New Testament!
The WORDS of the Old and New TESTAMENTS are the TWO WITNESSES
According to Webster's Dictionary TESTAMENT is TO TESTIFY.
Also accordingly TESTIFY is TO MAKE A SERIOUS DECLARATION TO SUBSTANTIATE A FACT: BEAR WITNESS; GIVE EVIDENCE.
The Old and New Testaments are therefore the OLD WITNESS and the NEW WITNESS or spoken of by John in The Revelation the TWO WITNESSES.
By this DUAL WITNESS of the BIBLE mankind are told who the Son of God is and of the Plan of Restoration. By this dual witness Father speaks and identifies who is his only begotten Son. His name is JESUS the MESSIAH.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me (Jo.14:6).
The Dual Witness testifies of LIFE and his name is JESUS.
John in The Revelation gives us more details that prove who the "Two Witnesses" are and the author will be referring to them as "THE DUAL WITNESS" for the Bible is singular.
SCRIPTURE
...and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred (and) threescore days,
clothed in sackloth.
and if any man will hurt them. fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and
devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this
manner be killed.
These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their
prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite
the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth
out of the pit shall make war against them, and kill them.
And their dead bodies (shall lie) in the street of the great city, which
spiritually called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their
dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies
to be put in graves.
And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry,
and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented
them that dwelt on the earth.
And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into
them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which
saw them.
And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither.
And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
Because men seek the "dual witness" amongst people they also establish the 1260 days in the same fashion. Now that we see the "dual witness" to be the Word of God (Old and New Testaments) we must also look at their established time according to Father method of calculating time.
Daniel who saw the things that were to be sealed until the end (Dan.12:9) was given the key to understanding the timeline of God.
And he shall speak (great) words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time (Dan.7:25).
This time and times and the dividing of time is the key and John uses it in The Revelation
...where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time,...
This stands for 3 1/2 cycles of time as related by God for our understanding of his ways.
"ALL" 3 1/2 CYCLES OF TIME
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day (is) with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day (II Pe.3:8).
The dual witness to this fact is
For a thousand years in thy sight (are but) as yesterday... (Ps.90:4).
By this we are to understand that 3 1/2 days with God are actually 3500 years with man. Father also within the design of prophecy swaps days for years at his will.
Father uses the entire DUAL WITNESS as one "WILL" pointing to his Son who points back to Him. By this I mean that everything is always pointing to the same when revealed by the SPIRIT who is TRUTH. One God, One Father, One Spirit and One Truth, One Son of God and his name is JESUS.
...And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
So when we look back to when the "DUAL WITNESS" was written what do we find? We find that Moses wrote the first 5 book of the Bible. Moses was getting the Words of God upon Mt Sinia in the Wilderness around 1500 B.C. We also recognize that the Tabernacle constructed in the Wilderness is by type showing mankind, Jesus, who would come in the flesh. The Old Testament was a representation of the New Testament by types and shadows.
For the law having a shadow of good things to come, (and) not the very image of things,...
The Old Testament spoke of the New Testament and Jesus but not the exact image. Jesus came to clear up the details of the image told by the Old Testament in the New Testament, presenting the 2nd Witness.
By this we are to understand that the 1260 days, 42 months and 3 1/2 day
are all covering the same period in time of the 3500 years since the Words
were given to Moses and the Children of Israel in the wilderness near 1500
B.C. (1500 B.C. + 2000 A.D. = 3500 years)
Time for the "resurection" is near the 3 1/2 days of God all but complete.
All 3 1/2 cycles of time spoken by the dual
witness are about the same period of time, either directly in clear image
or indirectly in the image of.
The 1260 days (Rev. 12:6, 12:14) is the 3 1/2 cycles of time from the 360 day sacred year. The 42 months (Rev.11:2,13:5) are also the 3 1/2 cycles of time in months. The 3 1/2 days (Rev.11:11) are the exact 3 1/2 cycles of time and are God days or 3500 years.
The instructions for the building of the Tabernacle were given to Moses in the wilderness 3500 years ago. The dimensions of the boards used were to be 10 cubits tall by 1.5 cubits wide (Ex.36:21). 10 divided by 1.5 = 6.66. What we find is that the factor of death or 666 was built into the Tabernacle. 666 is the number of "Man" (Rev.13:18).
Death has been the ministry of the "DUAL WITNESS" since given to Moses in the wilderness. The TWO WITNESSES have been dead in the street for 3 1/2 God days or the past 3500 years with man.
By the ministration of death by the dual witness mankind has been shown Jesus the Messiah who restores to LIFE IN HIM.
THE CALL TO "COME UP HITHER" IS SOON TO BE HEARD AND SEEN IN THE PRESENCE OF MEN.
The rejoicing and gift giving over the past 3500 years will be as nothing compared to that which is instore for the children of God.
